Five Months Of Our Shining Little Star...

FIVE MONTH UPDATE!!

My Gosh as I am writing this I realize this is the last update before the HALF A YEAR UPDATE...SAY WHAT!!. I have seriously tried to not blink my eyes as the time is going so quickly and she is growing up soo fast. I get it now. I really do.

OVER THE LAST MONTH..
I really feel like this last month has been so super busy with work, mummy life and working on creating this community for women. But it has been another wonderful month with our Little shining star. The foundation that we have laid as a family is working perfect! She is developing her independence really well, she loves to do everything herself!

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH
This month we had our very first Birthday Party which was such a blast! She had so much fun with her little friends. It was sooo cute my heart was melting. It was a fairy themed part so we wore a little pink dress with tulle on the bottom and carried her little fairy wand , my Mummy Heart just welted. Such a proud moment for me as a Mum. I loved every minute, watching her play and sing Happy Birthday followed but yummy Birthday Cake! (of course the eyes lit up for this part!)

THINGS WE LOVE THIS MONTH
OK so this month we are really into music. And on REPEAT in our house is..
1. Baby shark (constantly!)
2. Five little Monkeys (constantly!)
3. Twinkle little Star (constantly!)
She really loves her music! Another ritual she has with Daddy is looking at the moon every night before bed. She loved the moon. It really is so precious to see daddy and Daughter time. such precious moments to treasure forever.

HOW'S MUMMY DOING !!
WOW! Mum is doing OK!. I'm still working on finding a balance working full time and manage all the other things outside of work. But it is become clearer and that balance is starting to work in my favor with learning as we go along. Can you relate to this? It is a work in process for this Mum/ Daycare Mum and I'm tackling the challenge head on! I treasure being home with her every day.

WHAT'S NEW..
Well we are planning our first family vacation to our favorite paradise...Hideaway Bay Whitsundays. We are so excited thinking about our first family vacation and sharing with her our paradise. Every year we go around October when the weather is just right.

THIS MONTH CAN BE WRAPPED UP AS...
This month can be wrapped up as super fast!! experiencing new fun things and perfect in every way with our little shining star. She makes us laugh every day with something new. We look forward to so many more.

HOME SWEET HOME.

HOME SWEET HOME, my sanctuary. The place I feel totally comfortable and relaxed. Now I would like to give you the grand tour and show you my favorite places. We are so very fortunate to have a spacious split level home. Way to many rooms to clean!! (Three to be exact) Lets take a grand tour.. COME ON IN...

OUR LIVING AND DINNING AREA.
I always wanted an open plan living and dining area. This area has had some wonderful Christmas memories and space to create. I love being able to have room to move and spread my wings. This area is where I do all my writing and creative work. And where our beautiful little girl plays and laughs. We love country colors which is why we chose Browns and greens. It feels so homely and cozy!! You agree? But we actually don't use the dinning table ! We eat in our chairs in front of the TV!! Is this you too?

OUR KITCHEN
This space in the house is a very shared space. Trevor loves to create yummy masterpieces here. And I'm not complaining, the man loves to cook!! He says it relaxes him. So I say GO FOR IT HONEY.!! Sometimes I have to fight to get into the kitchen, you've never seen anything like it!! It is such a blessing to have a kitchen with room and that open sort of feel. Do you know what I mean? And I have plans to renovate and freshen up. ONE DAY... I especially love open plan kitchen because I can see our little girl playing while Mummy is busy in the kitchen! BONUS..

MY DAYCARE AREA..
This is my area....an area where little dreams are thought of and a magical place of learning. To be quite honest I never thought I would be an EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR. Helping children with their educational start in life. When I set up this area I wanted it to feel like home, bright and cheery. This space used to be an other living area with a lounge and TV. This is the bottom of the three levels. It also has a bathroom and toilet and laundry as well. Perfect for starting my own business. So the Journey began. But this is a strictly 9-5 area. Hey..This Daycare Mumma needs a break on the weekends!

OK. Thank you for letting me give you the grand tour of our HOME SWEET HOME. Did you enjoy it? Comment below and share your favorite places in  your home....

THINGS I WISH I KNEW 10 YEARS AGO...

Well stop everything!! Hold on .......

THINGS I WISH I KNEW 10 YEARS AGO! This could take a while. When I think about this chapter in our life so many hard life lessons and emotions start swirling. Fear, anger, hatred. This was during the period of my life where I felt a huge load on my shoulders.Strap in and let me take you on a ride my friend. I'm opening up a whole new can of worms......

THE FIGHTER...
Ten years ago....This was when we were still in stages of going through the adoption process. WHOA!! I wish I knew what I know now about the whole process. This was still the season for me when I had ZERO self confidence and no self belief in myself. Fast forward 12 years and that person has CHANGED!!. I WISH I KNEW THEN how strong I actually was and what I was capable of achieving. I look back at this season and I had so much anger at myself. I actually hated being me, resentment because nothing came EASY. Every little thing I felt I had to work that much more harder for than others. And now.....BRING IT ON. I take every challenge with strength and courage and FIGHT. With a new lesson learned every day.

LEARNING SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY....
This would have been a huge game changer for me. Ten years ago I had no idea how to chase my goals or dreams, or even what to do with them!!. I didn't realize that every day you need to work on something that will bring you closer to your goal. Gaining the knowledge you need to move forward. I just kept listening to that voice saying I wasn't good enough or someone like me doesn't dream things like that! Now... after learning to love myself and it was possible to achieve all of my dreams, and focusing on my own education to continue to DREAM BIG....

THERE WAS MORE TO LIFE THAN WHAT I WAS CONTINUALLY GOING THROUGH.
I guess when you are on a continuous cycle of struggling with health battles, you begin to think that this is your life and all there is going to be. I didn't realize that outside my normal there was a whole world of opportunities for me despite the hardships life was throwing at me. When I finally saw past my struggles, I started to understand who I was, what I was capable of achieving for myself and what it was I wanted to do in this life.

DON'T BE AFRAID TO TRY SOMETHING NEW..
Thinking back to who I was ten years ago. My comfort zone was my safe place and I never thought of stepping out of, does this resonate with you? Fast forward to now as I know myself so much better. It's something I strive to do EVERY SINGLE DAY. if you want to achieve something worthwhile and important you have to step out and walk a new path. Trying something new will bring you the success you want to build for yourself.

The truth, there is so much that I wish I knew 10 years ago. But you know what? This is the way life happened for me and I accept that and take pride in what I have achieved. How about you? wjhat is it you wish you knew 10 years ago. I would love for you to share... comment below  to share your thoughts. Can you relate to any of this ?
