Learning to work with my creativity and accepting my creativity was no easy task!!!. I first had to accept that yes...I am creative and let it come to life. I have never thought of myself as being creative. But I have come to learn I frekin am!!!!! I learnt to work in harmony with my creativity and not be afraid of it.. Its important to realise creativity must work with fear to project to its full potential.
At the moment I'm doing a book club challenge reading Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert with Allie van Fossen and Carly Talbott who co work the Truth and Dare Movement podcast. And in the book Liz makes a point that when you are being creative you need to do it for you because you love to do it and it makes you happy, especially if you want to help others. You will attract and appeal to people when they see how passionate you are about what you do. I totally love this book and highly recommend it to read. Liz also makes a BIG point. Creative ideas search for the best person to make the idea come to life. You have the choice to say yes or know to it. If you say yes you must promise the idea that you will give it everything you have and the attention it deserves. Otherwise the idea will move on and find someone else.
The wonderful practice of Yoga has so much enhanced and highlighted my creativity and helped me lighten the fear I had. And broadened my mind space to make room to create "Big Magic". I truly believe we are all creative in our own unique way that makes us happy as individuals. The key is to do it for you and then the magic will follow. But no matter what you can be proud of creating your "Big Magic".

Dear Kristi, your words resonate so much with my own experience around creativity. I also found fear to be one of the biggest challenge along the way.. fear or being judged, fear of being rejected, fear of being ridiculous or irrelevant...
