HOW TO GET GLOWING SKIN WITHOUT THE HARSH CHEMICALS.

Looking after my skin has been a passion for me for as long as I can remember. But sometimes we forget about our poor skin, especially when you are a busy Mum! Our skin  the largest organ in the body. I remember my first paycheck I ever got I was so excited to buy the latest skincare products (and yes the ones with the harsh chemicals ). Now my skincare routine and tips look a lot different. I only use all natural plant based products, my favorite is @SUKINSKINCARE PRODUCTS. But there is a lot more to this story. Let me share with you my skincare routine and tips to get GLOWING SKIN WITHOUT THE HARSH CHEMICALS. When our skin looks glowing and healthy, we feel more confident, more healthy and more in love with being comfortable in our own skin. And this is vital when we are working hard to be the best version of our self and creating a life we love. See...it all fits together.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SKINCARE.
This is so very important to me. Choosing a skincare range that is not only affordable but most beneficial and healthy for your skin. I started cleaning up the products I was using during our fertility struggles. I was so shocked when I looked at the ingredients of some of the products I had used, I couldn't pronounce some of  them! Your skin being the largest organ of your body absorbs everything you put on it. That's why I chose @sukinskincare will recognizable and real ingredients. You really have to know your skin type, dry or oily, sun damaged or sensitive. Know your skin type confidently before choosing your skincare products.

WHAT YOUR SKIN NEEDS IN WORKING WITH NATURAL SKINCARE.
I have learn't some valuable lessons and done a lot of research when it comes to looking after my skin. I now choose to age purely and gracefully. But there is something that is important to remember when caring for your skin. You have to care for your body internally as well. Living a clean healthy life with the foods we intake is vital to having healthy glowing skin, and of course our overall health. Our skin really thanks us when we eat those fresh fruit and vegetables. Fruit and vegetables comntain powerful antioxidants that help protect the skin from cellular damage caused by smoking, [pollution and sunlight. Our skin also feels it when we are stressed and dehydrated, drinking plenty of water is crucial to our skins health and our overall health. the skin looks vibrant and healthy when it is hydrated. And the fine lines and wrinkles will soften naturally!

IN CONCLUSION.
The main points I want you to take away from this to continue building self confidence and self love  are:
1 Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water.
2 Establish a clean and healthy diet.
3 Know your own skin type
4 Choose a natural skincare product
These are the steps I have followed for years. I want you to remember this. When your skin feels and looks good SO DO YOU.

MY GO TO WARDROBE TO FEELING COMFORTABLE IN MY OWN SKIN...

EVENING WEAR
ALL OCCASION WEAR
DAY WEAR

Comfy, short, long and flowy. I think these are the words to describe how my wardrobe pieces together. Let me start this story with when I was younger been so short (caused with having Turner syndrome) I was always self conscious of the clothes I wore that they didn't make me look even shorter. But with the confidence I have now I can rock anything girlfriend!!  Now I want you to just close your eyes and picture a wardrobe bursting at the seams!  Yes this is mine. But there are certain "favorites" that you like to keep close to the front. Does this sound like you at all?. Well I'm going to go through and share with you some my favorite picks that can be worn for both Day and evening with mixing it up with different accessories and shoes. The key my friends to looking good is letting your confidence and inner sparkle shine when you are totally comfortable in what you wear. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and sharing with you.

DAY WEAR
This outfit is a little peak into what I like to wear If i'm going out to lunch with friends or going for a drive to the city for the day. I love skirts and dresses!!. You can always dress them up or down depending on the occasion with different accessories. Now I am only 4'11 but hey I still rock a maxi dress. And I even rock a long skirt. It's all about looking into the mirror and into your own eyes and seeing your unique personality shine through. A personality that only you can show the world to admire. I like to chose things also weather appropriate to make sure I feel great in. Here in the tropics the summers are pretty yuck!

EVENING WEAR
In the past my body shape weighed heavy on my mind.  But with a lot of soul searching and commitment to learning to love my body I love to explore different styles. For evening I also love to wear dresses, pants and top and beautiful A line skirts.  These are all pieces that you can utilize in so many different ways to make room again in your closet and never go out of style, gotta love classics. And of course I have different style shoes to match and can also dress an outfit up or keep it simple. Beautiful simple heels to sandles and slip on's.

SHOP RESPONSIBLY
This can be hard! the temptation to just buy something because it's really nice. Iv'e learnt when I shop now I think of what I have In my wardrobe and can go with what I am looking at buying. I am also tying to understand the term 'ethical fashion' by looking at things that cover things like working conditions, animal welfare and of course our environment. My biggest goal is to be a conscious shopper and only choosing things I feel good in !!

BEING A TURNER SYNDROME BUTTERFLY...

Turner Syndrome...My journey started on November 2, 1977. I was born into a family with two wonderful parents. In my early childhood I was a happy little girl. The one difference was my height, I was a lot shorter than other girls. Now this didn't worry me at all, I embraced my height and was still a happy little girl.

Then...everything changed once I started my school years. Primary school I started to become very self conscious and more aware of my height and so did the other kids. There was the teasing because of my height. And this continued into high school. I had my Best friend and other close friends but I did find it hard to meet and make new friends. My Mum took me to see a Gynecologist when I was 12. After test were done it was diagnosed I had Turner Syndrome. I found it could just be diagnosed with looking at the girl, extensive blood testing was needed to make a confirmed diagnosis. TS, what the heck was that!!. So the researching and talking to different doctors help us have a better understanding of what it was. With time my attitude changed and I started to learn to love myself for who I was.

Turner Syndrome..never heard of it?
Why Me?

So as the years went by I had everything fixed, my ears after years of trouble. And the narrowing in my aortic valve. Heart problems is a main feature of TS. Then started my thyroid journey to getting it sorted out, now we have it under control most of the time. This was such a confusing and scary time but one step at a time I got through it, and still am following this motto at 42! My turning point was actually 3 or 4 years ago I started really accepting and embracing me, and doing my own research into TS and deciding I needed to become a Butterfly to raise awareness. I thought to myself, there are other girls/women out there as scared and confused as I was. I wanted to let them know that they are not alone. And to seek help and get the questions answered you have. For me I really struggled with infertility and took a long tome to get to the place I am now.

So the purpose of this story is never judge a book by it's cover and to make a statement. NEVER let anyone make you feel as though you are worthless or different. Don't define your limits of you you are because I'm here to tell you there are no limits. You are capable of living your dreams. So go and live them beautiful butterfly. I might have turner syndrome but a hell of as lot of determination has made me who I am today.

Are you as Turner Syndrome Butterfly ? or do you know someone who is. I would love for you to share this as raise more awareness that we are not different and we do fit in.....

HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED IN LIFE..

What is motivation?
Sometimes I surly do lack it. You too? Well motivation is the reasons for our actions, and the willingness for our goals. It is our needs, desires and drives within us as individuals. Does this make sense? Motivation is one of the key components that will help us achieve those goals. If we have motivation we will have SATISFACTION and growth in our own PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. Life is like a roller coaster and we tend to let that motivation disappear. Motivation helps us get up early and be productive. It is also the key to success and being successful in achieving your dream and living a life you love. OK, now lets dive in a little more....

My journey with motivation has been a dang rocky one...can you relate?  But after chipping away at the fears and self doubt, I can craft my motivation in a way that serves my dreams and goals in life. That was when I really started to see results in my life and my goals. So I would like to share with you some tips to help  you do the same and find that motivation for yourself as they did me sound darn good? OK my friend here we go......don't forget to take notes!

1- Don't assume Money will motivate you. Love what you do and relish in the enjoyment of doing something that makes you happy.
2- Keep that bigger picture in mind!! Think of what will be waiting for you after you put in all the hard work and get to exactly where you want to be. This is a HUGE motivator.
3- Make sure they are your goals! Tap into what it really is you want. Is this your goal?  Or are you doing it to please other people?
4- Break the Goals down into smaller pieces. By doing this things can seem more easily achievable and not so overwhelming. You are also covering all bases and seeing if there is anything you have forgotten.
5- Tap into other peoples energy. This is a key part for me. Having mentors with incredible energy and vibe that you can feed of is the best motivator!.

Oh my gosh!! what did you think? I really hope this inspired you to take action. If it did let me know. I would love to hear from you. Share this with a friend who needs a little inspiration to find their own motivation. But don't be hard on yourself girl!! we all go through stages where we lose some motivation or aren't feeling "In the groove". With these personal tips I have followed I know you will find it again. I BELIEVE IN YOU... and I want you to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. If there is anything you feel you need help with or want me to write more on I would love you to send me an E Mail and connect with me. Talk again soon Friends.

TIPS FOR MUM'S WORKING FROM HOME .

Hello there!! I'm a Mum to a beautiful energetic two year old little girl and I also work from home with My own Business as a daycare Mum. The idea of working from home having my own business has always been a dream and I love it!! But it also comes with some certain components that that I really nurture and listen too. You really have to dig deep and listen to your inner voice and how you are feeling. I love working from home. But I want to share with you my important practices that I follow to keep myself from feeling reclusive and isolated. Strategies that will help make your journey more like the dream you visioned.

DRESS FOR SUCCESS..
Yeah you!! You are beautiful....dress to make you feel good and motivated and comfortable. I love sometimes to even put a sparkly headband in my hair, the ,kids love it!! Why not put on some lippy and a nice shade of blush on the cheeks to feel  happy and glowing. Heck why not do a twirl like Cinderella. Feel the good vibrations and how successful you are girl!! Why not even put on a nice bright colored pair of earrings. The point is to make you feel how successful and confident you are. Even if you are at home!! Now I love been in comfy yoga pants and my slippers just like you, but we need to make the time to make ourselves feel good about ourselves and feel how awesome we are as Mumma's and Girl Bosses.

CONSTRUCT YOUR SCHEDULE AND BLOCK OFF YOUR TIME.
Since Starting my own business from home in 2018 One of the most important things Iv'e learned is that you have to construct your schedule in a very active way that serves both your business and you...don't forget you. This is time that I turn off from business mode and turn too me mode. This is time that you carve out every day where you just completely focus on you. Time to clear your mind, take a deep breath and do something that makes you feel relaxed. Some tips that I love are:
1- I love listening to inspirational podcasts to help me feel inspired and in a calm mindset.
2- Carve a little break to read .Weather it be a book, articles or inspiring magazines. This allows your mind to shift direction for a while to help you from feeling too overwhelmed. Can you relate o this? I know I sure can.
3- One of my favorite things to do is just sit, close my eyes and takes some slow easy breaths. Acknowledge what comes into your mind and let it float by coming back to your breath.
Give these things a try!! I know they will help you too. Send me an Email and connect with me to let me know if they helped you.

FAMILY CHORE TIME..
Chore time... ugh. It's never ending right? Sometimes it feels like there is not enough hours in the day. Do you feel like this too? But there are ways to make this less painful and more productive. Make a plan to follow every day. A plan that the whole family can be a part of and have a role to play in the day to day chores. Then carve out time that suits your families schedule. This is also a great way to have some extra family time as well as allow more time for you to enjoy being a Mum. This is also something that can strengthen your Families bond. So make it more of a fun time rather than just chore time, the kids might even be excited!!

KEEP EARLY HOURS..
It's your business...and your choice to make. It's hard being a Mum and working. Make hours that suit you and your family. We don't need to work 12 hours a day. Could we..YES of course but make the choice not to. It's so super important to make sure we don't burn ourselves out, just take it one step and task at a time. I have really come to realize this and I hope to help you realize it too. Give yourself the time to have with family in the afternoon.  My daughter loves when it'a time to put the washing on, her favorite thing to do is take the clothes out of the basket and put in the machine, she loves it!!! ( And Mummy doesn't mind either 😊 ) Try and see if it works for you too.

Working from home can great!! I wouldn't have it any other way now. But in my journey I have found that it can be isolating. Which is why I wanted to write this to help all the other Mum's who might be embarking on this journey. Don't forget time to go have that coffee with a friend or go shopping with your Mum, friend or even Hubby!. Craft time to get out in the sunshine and breathe in some fresh air. When you allow time for this it makes the wonderful experience of working from home that much more rewarding and enjoyable. I would love to hear about your journey of working from home. Send me an E mail and lets connect. Until next time

ACCEPTING YOUR BODY FLAWS...

Accepting Your Body Flaws. Something we ass women all struggle with. But believe me when I say YOU ARE PERFECT in every way, JUST THE WAY YOU ARE. Now when I say body flaws I don't mean body shape or image. I'm talking about health and medical issues. I know I'm not alone in this journey, can you relate? We spend so much time trying to create our bodies into something that it isn't. Instead of celebrating it's beauty as it is. My journey into accepting my body has been rocky and emotional. My body has never really done anything it is supposed to, I have had and still do a lot of battles but I am at a more peaceful and loving place with my body. I can look in the mirror and smile. We are all unique and there is only one of us and this world needs us!!

Have you ever asked yourself 'What is normal? I have so many times and sometimes still do. But I have learned that there is no such thing. Everybody's life is so different with different challenges and battles to fight. I now know to live a full and happy life I had to accept my body for all that is is. Waking every day to our beautiful little girl and breathing is the most precious gift I can receive. It is so important to fully embrace our imperfections, let go of identifying our self as inadequate and embrace the wholeness of our being. I only ever looked at myself as a person full of flaws, I never looked inside to see the beauty and potential of the person I really was.

Growing up I made a very big mistake, a common mistake I think we all as women make. I let the challenges I was facing steel away my joy and happiness. I let everything I went through take control and that's all I could see. I didn't think I would have any happiness or success in my life. But once I started embracing my body and loving myself for who I was, a whole new world of opportunity opened up for me. I began to have more confidence. It didn't matter what I did my body wasn't going to change, I couldn't change what was. But I could accept it and see all the joy I ahve in my life.  So I decided to embrace it with strength and courage and share my story to help other women.

Can you relate to this? are you going through the same as what I did? I would love you to share your story send me an Email and lets lift each other up. Sharing my story was a pivotal step in chasing my dreams and creating a life I love. Is this easy? NO not at all, but one step at a time with learning to love you for exactly as you are is a good start. Always remember you are beautiful just as you are. Let your true beauty shine through for the world to see and be inspired by. If this ha inspired you comment and let me know.

FINDING THE CALL WHEN YOU DON'T HEAR IT...

Honestly....I had no idea that there was something important that I had to do In this life. I had no idea that the challenges that I have faced in this life have given me the strength to reach out to other women and help them find their STRENGTH and CONFIDENCE. To help other women learn to love themselves for the beautiful human being that they are. And I certainly didn't think I could do something as important as help finding their purpose in this world. I spent so many years being angry with life and hating my life and body. Can you relate to this? But now I can see clearly the life I want to create for my family. And the legacy that I want to leave for my daughter. Lets dive in and break this down. Are you ready to FIND YOUR CALL.

Growing up I never thought that I was just me, I never really did anything special or was good at anything like sports or music. I didn't finish high school or go to university. And I thought that these things are what I needed to do something definitive with my life and make an impact. Is this you as well?  HOW WRONG WAS I...  I will let you in on a little secret. YOU HAVE A SUPERPOWER..WE AS WOMEN ALL DO.  There is a super power inside every one of us that when you find it and tap into it can make a huge impact on making a difference and making this universe a better place. Just think for a second. What is something you do that helps others, something that others turn to you for advice on or feel comfortable talking to you about.  Something maybe you don't realize that you feel comfortable with and makes you feel good and you are confident with. This just might be your superpower.

When we tap into our superpower, a whole new world of opportunity, abundance and success will open up. The dream I had of making an impact in this world I know now is coming true every day. Now just like everything else good and worthwhile in this life takes hard work and dedication. There is no such thing as overnight success. The beauty of success is it happens step by step with everything we do and every breath we take. I believe it's meant to happen this way so we can savor every milestone and the hard work it took to get there. I have always believed that there is a special reason each and every one of us were put in this earth. A special gift that we had to navigate life and find what that was. What is your super power ? would love for you to share with us.

But I've also come to realize that this isn't true for everyone. Some if us are actually really lucky to be born with knowing our super power at a very early age. And our vision for the future can already be seen as a possibility. The process of finding our call is not the same for all of us. Each of our life pictures are very different with different experiences and challenges. And the journey in which we find our own call in this life can be both a challenge and a great personal development road. Unlocking more about our self than we ever though was possible. Whatever your journey is enjoy the ride and know that your super power can and will  make a difference in your life as well as others. Believe in you and know that the POSSIBILITIES ARE ALWAYS ENDLESS...

A NEW BRAND:THE VISION OF YOGAWANDERER.

Would you agree with me when I say that our path in life can change so softly and quietly that you may almost miss it!! Well this happened to me. Three years ago I found Yoga and instantly though YES this is what I'm meant to do. This is where I truly shine, but in all honesty it was just the beginning of my journey to come. And the endless possibilities that were waiting for Yoga Wanderer. The start of realizing my true purpose.

Having the revelation three years ago that my story could make a difference and an impact in other women's lives changed everything for me. I went from a shy, sit in the corner gal to a gal who had something dang important to say..... and I was so passionate about saying it. I knew that I had a gift to help other women find their confidence and find their purpose in this life and believe in their dreams. Believe that we can be a Wife, Mother and career driven to create a life you love doing what you love. A special space just for us to reconnect and lift each other up.

Now I am going to be completely honest. I struggle with finding the balance to do all what I want to do. But I'll let you in on a little secret....THERE IS NO BALANCE. It is just a flow that you have to learn to flow with and take one step at a time. Living in this new season as A Mum, the whole game has changed. And for the better of course!! But I think we are both still adjusting to finding what works for us. But there is so much that I have to give other women to help them be the best version of themselves.

The vision I have for this journey.....I want to share my story with other women . I want other women to realize that even though our journey may be challenge after challenge, battle after battle. This does not define what our life will become or what we are capable of achieving. We need to use these to make us stronger, and drive us to achieving our success. I want to share my strategies and tips that have helped pave the way to becoming the women I want to be. A woman and legacy my daughter can be proud of and one day if she chooses continue to grow and expand. Another passion and vision I have is to create my own masterminds. Bringing women together to share each of our unique stories, and to educate women to love and believe in them self just as they are.

I am so looking forward to taking this journey with you. I would love feedback from you what you need help with in your life. What content would you love to see from me? from the bottom of my heart I thank you for all of your support. You are amazing!! You are unique!! You are beautiful!!
You can achieve anything!!

SIX MONTHS OF OUR SHINING LITTLE STAR..

Well we are a little late with this one. Things have been so crazy, stay tuned I will have a blog post coming up soon on what's been happening..  But how can this be. Where has the time gone!! She is growing so fast and becoming her own feisty, very determined young lady. every day there is so much she is learning and developing. We have trouble keeping up seriously, everyday she surprises us with something new. Something sassy and bold. But here is a recap of six months with our shining star.

WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TOO....
The last month has felt really busy!! But at the same time our schedules and routines still seem to be going really well. Our little rocket is thriving and full of laughs and yes mischief !! (But that is the same with every two year old toddler right?) Daddy has been working hard and Mummy is really busy with the Daycare Business. How I'm doing both.....I STILL HAVE NO IDEA but I'm doing it. the last month we have found that she truly loves been outside and loves to look at the moon. Every night before bed we take her out to see the moon and the starts. She is always constantly looking for the moon. Maybe a budding astrologist on our hands!!

OVER THE LAST MONTH WE...
Over the last month we have had some major breakthroughs. She actually ate spaghetti!! She will eat just plain cooked pasta but not with any sauce. But the other day she did. We made a big thing that it was Daddy's special spaghetti 😃 let's see how it goes next time. Another breakthrough is she is starting to put words together to make little sentences. Such a big girl now. Over the last month we have had to lean on family for some help, so our girl has loved spending time with her Grandmas and her Aunty. We are also still in learning to be gentle with the puppies. She just loves them but can still be a little rough sometimes, but we are getting better. They really love to be close to her and see what she is up too.

HOW IS MUMMA DOING...
These last months have been like a whirlwind, busy and jam packed. And this Mumma is ready for a break very soon to recharge and just relax from the every day. I've realized all my time has been devoted to working and Mothering. I think it's time for a little more Mummy time. I feel like Iv'e stopped doing things that I love because there aren't enough hours in the day. But I am a go getter and doer so I will find my place again. Life gets full of crazy schedules but it is important to remember that you have to make time for you and what you love. Don't loose you in all the craziness. Keep chasing those dreams and be the best version of you that you can.

THIS MONTH CAN BE SUMMARIZED...
This month can be summarized as a month of revelations about our self and our own self care. To be the best mummy I have to sometimes put myself first to be the best I can for her. It can also be summarized as a month of growth and development for our little shining star. She is growing up so quickly before our eyes and we want to take in every precious moment. Stay tuned very soon for our seven month recap!!

REVAMP OF A DAY IN THE LIFE OF KRISTI MENSO.

Hey there, I had an idea. It's been a while now since I let you in on what happens in a day in the life of Kristi Menso. And boy there have been a lot of changes in my life. Heck I'M A MUM NOW... So lets do a revamp of a typical day in my life. Are you ready? here we go.......the timeline begins..

THE START OF THE DAY....
4.45am, the alarm goes off. But usually I like to lie for a minute and take a breath in. Since becoming a Mum I work really hard to maintain a productive and healthy routine. Life is so CRAZY  busy and you have to have routine to make things run smoothly you agree? Once I'm up the normal house chores happen. Making the bed and unstacking the dishwasher. Now because I'm obsessed with being super organized..just ask my husband!  all our lunches are done and ready to go in the fridge.

Then it's time to put washing on and have a shower and get myself ready for the day before our shining star wakes ups!. Once I've had a shower it's time to open up my Daycare room downstairs. Now if all goes well and baby girl is still sleeping (which she usually is) I get ready for the day, start paperwork and have everything ready for our activities for the day. Now most mornings I then make my coffee and sit down and put my head phones on and listen to one of my favorite podcasts while having my coffee. By that time our shining star is awake and ready to get up have her breakfast, bath and start her day.

LUNCH TIME AND NAP TIME...
After a busy morning of learning and playing at Daycare with mummy, it's well and truly time for a healthy lunch and hopefully a nice long nap. All my kids are on their beds and ready for lights out at 12 o'clock. once everyone is tucked in and sleeping soundly it's Miss Kristi's time for a healthy lunch, a bit of a rest and get some work done. While the kids are sleeping I give myself time to rest and then get some work done, daily paperwork, put tea on and fold washing (It never ends does it!!) and my writing for you !! for the Blog and Instagram. You can also follow me on Instagram @kristisinspiration. But as a Mum you know sleep times can change! So I take every day as it comes and GO WITH THE FLOW. It is sp important to give myself to just be still, close my eyes and refocus on what is happening for the rest of the afternoon.

AFTERNOON AND FINISHING TIME...
Afternoons we like to spend outside in the fresh air playing. Once everyone is awake and had afternoon tea we make our way outside with our hats for some more play time. The kids love having a swing and a slide. Not to mention racing while riding bikes. Miss Kristi holding her breath!! Once it  gets close to pick up time we go back in side to wash our face and hand, tidy up toys ready to go home. Then I start to empty the bin wipe table and equipment down with disinfectant ready for the next day.

SUMMARY OF MY NORMAL DAY..
OK... you have probably noticed my day is a normal, Mummy typical, crazy busy day. But it somehow all works. How about you? What is your typical day like? Does it sometimes feel like a roller coaster!! I'M HEARING YA... but i can't stress enough how important it is among the chaos to take time to breathe and refocus and check in with yourself. Ask yourself "How am I doing"? Never be afraid to ask for help.

I'M SAYING GOODBYE TO MY YOGA PANTS.

Breathe, just breathe. This is not a typo, no this is real and full of emotion. But both you and I know that life changes with every single breath we take can you relate? Yoga will always be a huge part of my spiritual being as is the meditation practice I do every single day. You know me..I lived in my Yoga Pants! They became a part of my identity and a comfortable part of me. I had all designs and colors to match my bubbly personality. But as my body continues to change with having Turner Syndrome, I have had to learn to evolve and change with it. And I have had to do a lot more work with coming to terms with my fear.

When Yoga and meditation came into my life, I started to come alive. And as my practice grew I continued to learn so much about myself. Yoga is what taught me to accept what I couldn't change about myself and embrace it with strength and courage. But as life does, it threw another great challenge at me. With no warning I began going into Atrial Fibrillation which is a chronic heart disease. The electrical wiring from the brain to the heart gets all haywire and the heart starts beating at irregular rhythms working a lot harder than it should. This means hospital time!!

So after this settled it was a waiting game to see if it happened again, 80% of people will get it once and never happen again, 20% will then continue to get. Can you guess which one was I ? As life would have it It did happen again and again! I learnt very early on that my physical body had changed for ever. I continued my Yoga practice but the fear of elevating my heart rate was frightening! It was finding a balance of when it was enough. I saw my Practice begin to completely change.

THIS CHALLENGED ME TO MY CORE! I had no idea what to do with this...I didn't wan't things to change. My yoga was right where I wanted it to be. I wanted my body to be where it was. Can you relate to this happening in your life? So in true Kristi style I began some soul searching to find where to from here. I started to look deep into my spiritual knowledge of Yoga and found there were no boundaries with Yoga. It would be whatever I needed it to be. I redefined my practice and found a new comfortable for me. I started to see a new pathway form in front of my eyes. Have you ever had to do this too?

Do you agree this evolving and changing thing is constantly challenging us? ✋ I do.... My Yoga Pants will always be a part of me and my journey of finding who I was. So don't panic. I will sneak in a little photo in my Yoga pants from time to time 😉 I promise !!  Don't be afraid of change. Use that fear to embrace it and all that is about to come. Life is unpredictable. If you love hearing my life stories and challenges for inspiration don't forget to subscribe for helping you to live a life you truly love.

CURRENT OBSESSION: HEARING MY DAUGHTER LAUGH.

There is no sweeter sound.. A sound I have waited for and dreamed of hearing my whole life. A sound I had come to terms with the fact that I would never hear. Can you relate to this? I would love to hear your story. Then totally unexpected one busy Tuesday afternoon, God gave me the chance to fulfill my dream. And for that I will always be grateful.

There used to be only quiet in our house, just the two of us. And truthfully we had gotten used to that. Then one beautiful day, when I was having such a bad day, that changed and sunshine began to shine. Our little shining star was on her way. Now to get that call after nearly 12 years of processes and training with Adoption and fostering was indescribable and so surreal. It was almost like being in a dream and being afraid of waking up. All the hard work we had put into it to to prepare our self was all coming into light.

In the almost 6 months of being a Mum to a beautiful two year old little girl , one thing that I hold so very dear and locked so tenderly in my memories is her every laugh. Her laugh is so infectious, so captivating and the sure thing that makes me smile at the end of a long day. Her sound is so cheeky, so full of energy, mischievous and playful. Hearing her laugh has become what makes me feel alive and happy. It's like all the other bad and challenging stuff just melts away and that moment is all that matters. I want to be a camera and constantly taking images to embed in my mind forever

I love our outside play times. Watching her running around with our dogs Kelsey and Ruby-Jane laughing as they chase and follow her around waiting for her to throw the ball is hilarious! Mum and Dad are always laughing along with her!! But her laugh is just pure happiness, it's a girl having fun with her family!! Another special moment when her laugh just captures me is when Daddy comes home from work in the afternoon. She has superpower hearing I'm sure!! She hears Daddy's truck pulling in the driveway and starts BELLOWING out 'DADDY'S HOME DADDY'S HOME!" with the cutest little giggle and laugh. The excitement in her eyes is so precious At that moment there I just melt into a complete Mummy puddle. Thinking this is happiness, this is what life Is supposed to feel like.

Do you have an obsession? Can you relate to this as A Mum? what particular moment with your beautiful family makes you feel like this. When life gets messy and challenges you to a new level. Just take a minute, close your eyes and go to these moments. Moments where you are happy, smiling and feeling completely blessed for the wonderful gift of being a Mum.  All I have to do is look into my shining stars eyes and I see all my worth and all my dreams there for me to grab and make mine. Comment below and tell me how you feel, what makes you feel happy and alive.

MY FAVORITE GEAR TO USE ON A PHOTO SHOOT

Well Hi there friends...OK this is something a little different. I can say I have not had a good relationship with the camera or photos. To be brutally honest, I hated photos! I always thought I was the least photogenic person on the planet!! But when my life started to change, and I began showing my true self, showing myself some self love, I LOVE DOING PHOTO SHOOTS. They really are so much fun. Well today I'm letting you in on my favorite gear I love to use on a photo shoot.

MY CUTE LITTLE MAKE UP BAG WITH THE ESSENTIALS...
This is a must! don't you think ladies? when doing a photo shoot I usually do my own make up. So I like to bring with me my trusty little bag which holds the essential touch up items. They are ..
1 The lipstick and lip gloss I'm wearing for the shoot to touch up just before and during the shoot.
2 Blush to reapply a  bit of color to my cheeks.
3 Mascara to add  more length to my lashes if  needed.
With these few basics you will look amazing the whole way through. And of course I'm a more natural makeup sort of gal, and of course non toxic and not tested on animals. Are these yours as well?

STYLISH SUNGLASSES...
These are a must for me. They add so much more character and style to a photo. Have you ever tried?. And of course to block out some of the glare if shooting outside. Shooting beach photos are the perfect excuse to use stylish sunglasses. At the moment I have brown @roxy sunglasses which I absolutely love. But sunglasses can be used on any outdoor photo shoot.

COMFY SHOES...
I guess this goes without saying, and important. When doing a shoot you have to be comfortable in the shoes if wearing them. If your not it can show in the photos and you lose capturing the real you in the photo. I love to bring a comfy pair of sandles and stylish lace ups. They always look stylish and a picture of who I am being authentic and true to character.

ACCESSORIES TO MATCH..
I like to keep my accessories simple but elegant. I usually like to wear  a simple pair of gold earrings and a stylish gold chain. I don't like to overdo it. Sometimes I love to show off some of my beautiful mala beads which are so pretty!. But I love going for the more natural. clean fresh look.

So there you have it, SOME OF MY FAVORITE GEAR TO USE ON A PHOTO SHOOT. What do you like to use on a photo shoot? Are you a photo type of gal? I would love to hear!. And don't forget to subscribe and be a part of this community of women lifting each other up to find their success and live the life they love.

HOW I BECAME AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR.

A story I never really thought of sharing. But I was thinking about it and it became clear it was important to share it with you. My whole life people kept telling me I should work with children as I was so good with them and they seem to connect with me pretty quickly. Grab yourself a cuppa, take a seat and let's start this story.

After we were married, I had such bad luck with jobs that were dead end and awful and totally draining. Jobs that ended up with cutting back hours which meant I always had to look for another job as I wasn't earning enough money. And it's dam hard living on one wage! Can you relate to this too? It was an emotionally draining struggle of looking for another job, and living in a small country town Sugar Cane community was not easy. Times were tough and there was not much around. This is where a lot of patience and soul searching came in. What made it even harder was I had no expertise or qualifications. I was limited to the kind of job that I could do....

So after a while I started doing some house cleaning. But that turned out to be another dead end as well!! I was lucky getting twelve hours a week! Being sent to wrong places and people that weren't home. I kept thinking to myself....there is something better out there for me. I believed that with my whole heart. Then one day my best friend rang me and said would you like a job working with kids?
As you could imagine I was gob smacked!! Of course I said yes, after months of just battling something was finally going my way. I was going to be an Educators Assistant!! GO ME!! And so my journey into early Childhood began.....

So after filling out all the paperwork it was all systems go to start studying my Certificate 3 in Early Childhood. Now studying scared the hell out of me. Up until this point in my life I had never wanted to study anything! I hated school with a passion, but I did have the intelligence to do it if I put my mind to it. Then the moment of truth, I started my studying. And to my complete surprise it was going OK. It wasn't easy, most of my time was devoted to trying to get it done as soon as possible (well it took a little longer than I had planned)  but after 2 years at the center just before Christmas they decided to close down. ABSOLUTE SHOCK. I immediately thought nooo I can't do this again...

But this was not all that was happening in our life. At the exact same time they gave the word of closing I was sitting beside my Husband while he was having treatment . At this point he had been unwell for a while, and after tests was diagnosed with Myesthenia Gravis which is an Auto Immune Disease (just to add a little spice to things). So we got through all that and did what needed to be done. While this was happening my brain was working overtime. With my husband sick and not going to be able work. I had to take action FAST.

With the center closing in two weeks. I had to come up with a plan. Then enter the idea of Home Daycare. There were parents asking me if I would consider this. Now I had never wanted to do this. As much as I loved children, I never had a desire to become a Home daycare Mum. But I decided YES I would give it a go. And I'm so thankful I did. It changed our life in so many ways for the better. So it was decided to go ahead. The planning of my downstairs Daycare area began. But the start date was set till the end of January,. we first had to get Trevor through major surgery that he had to have to continue the process of managing this Auto Immune Disease.

And In true Trevor and Kristi style we made it.....Trevor was recovering nicely and I started my new adventure as a Home Daycare Mum. Has it been easy? Hell no, certainly been some struggle days. But working from home now with our beautiful shining star is amazing. So I want to leave you with this thought. Nothing can hold you back from living a better life and piece by piece live your dream. I would not be where I am now if it wasn't for those challenges. I would never have had the courage to start the journey of being an influencer and blogger sharing my story. YOU CAN DO IT..YOU ARE STRONG.

HOW TO BE A POSITIVE MUM (EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE IT).

SCREAMING, TANTRUMS, FUSSY EATING HABITS....

These are all things we experience as a Mum am I right?.....and there are day's were we feel low and uninspired true? Well I have learned that these are normal experiences as a Mum. Becoming a Mum open up a whole new world of emotions And I'm sure I can say this for every Mummy out there, we want to be a positive light in our children's life. But our precious little ones can test us cant they! and we can feel like we are in a slump. Well Id like to share with you some strategies I use  to stay a positive light for my daughter EVEN WHEN WE DON'T FEEL .LIKE IT.... I guess we think of Motherhood as all warm and fuzzy (which it is !!) , but I realize now when we stop thinking that and take on all the things, all the emotions, life gets so much easier!!

RELEASE THE INNER CRITIC...
DON'T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF! You are doing an amazing job. The one thing you should never do is compare yourself to another parent. you do what feels right for you and your child and do what is working for you,  Playing the comparison game can be dangerous, it can lead to depression and low self esteem. Admit when you are feeling anxious or stressed. If you need help don't be afraid to ask for it. Find comfort in your support network. Reach out for guidance. I am so blessed too have a wonderful support network which I am so grateful for.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF SO THAT YOUR BEST IS POSSIBLE.
Now this is something that all Mum's are guilty of (yes I see you with your hand up!) we get so devoted to our roll as a Mum that along thew way we forget about us.We are so fixated on doing our best that we forget to take care of us. And if we aren't feeling taken care of and dig deep into that self love, we don't have our strength and emotional capacity to do our best for our family. And I want to always want to be my best possible for my family. Now It's dang hard! to find the time sometimes but I make it  happen. Sometimes when Trevor and our shining star are gone to bed, I will put my feet up and listen to a podcast with a face mask on. Or I might just relax and read a little. Do what feels good and emotionally comforting to you... promise me you will do it?.

BREATHE..GO WITH THE FLOW.
I love structure and a plan..I'm hopeless when it comes to things changing in the structure of being familiar. But in a shout out to myself I am getting better. It's been a roller coaster of a ride learning how to 'Go with the flow'. But you have to expect the unexpected as a Mum. Every day is different with our children. I now wake every day and remind myself to go with the flow. When something comes up I might not have planned for, just roll with it in the moment. Do what you have to do. Sometimes we may not get something in particular done, but hey THERE IS ALWAYS TOMORROW!!

I really hope I have helped in some way to your journey as a positive Mum. I myself am only new to this role but am excited to share with you my experiences on this wonderful journey. Do you have any experiences you can share with us? we would love to hear from you. Take care of you...Together we can be a positive light in our children's life. Sounds pretty cool!!

WHAT I WANTED TO BE WHEN I GREW UP..

GRAB THE COFFEE BOIL THE KETTLE....SETTLE IN FOR A GOOD LAUGH

Well my friends it's been a long time coming but the time has come. I'm spilling the beans on WHAT I WANTED TO BE WHEN I GREW UP.

When I was a little girl I loved to sing and dance. Yep, that was me in my room with my hairbrush music on grooving like a champ!. you can probably guess what I wanted to be A SINGER!!.(like a lot of other little girls lol ) That was me. I dreamed of having my own rock star band and I was going to travel the world. My sister used to ALWAYS spy on me outside my room while I was singing and dancing (we still laugh about it to this day) But it meant so much to me. Being the shy quiet girl I was music was a way I loved to express myself. Can you relate to this?

How's that coffee tasting..Now if that wasn't enough to make ya laugh this will! Picture it...me all of 4'11 A SUPERMODEL!! Yes you read that right. I was totally devoted to following supermodels. Every month Mum used to go to the newsagent and purchase the SUPERMODEL MAGAZINE for me until I started working and then I would buy it for myself (thanks Mum!) I was so into how they took care of themselves, the kind of HEALTHY food they ate, no not just the lettuce leaves! and their skincare and Beauty secrets. I was fascinated with looking after my skin with a proper skin care routine. I guess that was where it all started for me, learning about healthy living and how to take care of my skin. Once I was 16 and started working, I loved having my own money to try all the skin care ranges which I did!. My favorite was TV star Victoria Principles The Principle secret and RECLAIM. Oh My Gosh they were such beautiful products. I even got my Mum hocked!! she also started using them.

Along the journey of following Supermodels I also became really into make up along the way,and all the latest techniques on how to apply it. The photos of their make up was always SO PERFECT!! (Thanks to the help of great photographers and great lighting!) But I can honestly say It was always a healthy inspiration. I was totally inspired by the art of fashion models, how they created such stunning photos!! not just their beauty.

The most enticing thing that captivated me was the fashion!! I loved looking at all the fashions from the worlds top designers on the models. They were so stylish and such beautiful colors. I remember one Christmas mum made us a new outfit, and she made me a pair of those pants that flair out at the bottom with a halterneck top.  It was red and white striped. I just loved it! I really felt like a Supermodel!! this was really in fashion at the time (thanks Mum !!)

OK are you sore from laughing yet!! I bet lol I am just remembering back to that time of my growing up, what inspired me and made me happy. What do you remember from your childhood? what did you want to be when you grew up? It's amazing how things change as we get older and how our personalities and dreams keep on developing and changing. Share I would love to hear your story. Comment below and lets inspire each other.

ORGANIZING TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BUSY MUM'S...

Hello to all the beautiful busy Mummy's out there.Need help with organization to help your days run more smoothly? This is for you. I'm sharing all my tips and tricks that I've put into place since becoming A mum to a very energetic 2 year old shining star. Sometimes it's a struggle right? Being a Mum, wife, working a full time 9-5 as a Home Daycare Mum. And of course working on building a  community for women. Can it be done? Yes it can!! With organization and Batch work you can make it work and be so more productive with your time and have more time with you.

I became A mum at 41, yep you read right. I'm totally OCD when it comes to routine, so when our little girl came into our life it was a huge change to revamp our routines and engage in the transitions that were taking place. But we did... I got myself pretty quickly into a groove that worked well right from the start. And it was a lot of simple little things we do to make life easier and have well rounded time management. Here are some of my tips and tricks that make our life easier and leave more time for me to do things that are really important to me ( Like what I"m doing right now, writing this for you!) You ready....Let's take a look.

NO 1.. At night before we go to bed once the dishwasher is finished we unstack and put away to save time in the morning.

NO 2. Make sure all lunches are ready to go for the next day. This is such a time saver not having to do early in the morning!. I make our shining stars sandwiches and left overs are in Lunchboxes for Trevor and I ready for the next day (he even has our coffee cups ready with coffee in to go!)

NO 3.  I make sure all washing done that day is folded and put away. No stock piles in this house. OCD I know.....but believe me at night it's the last thing I feel like doing BUT...it feels sp much better when it's done and the next day less to worry about. I don't know about you but washing is endless in my house!! How about you?

NO 4. Pre plan or cook meals on the weekends. I hate thinking of what's for dinner!! it drives me crazy. I'm so super blessed to have an amazing Husband who loves to cook. But he drives me  nuts when he never likes any of the meal ideas I think of. Mr Master chef  has arrived lol. So I let him go (I don't complain that for sure )

NO 5. Being a home daycare mum I .like to make sure during the day I have all the art and craft out I need ready for the activity planned for the next day. And the floor is vacuumed and moped at the end of every day.
So there you have it beautiful Mummy's. Some very simple strategies to implement to make your life as a mum a whole lot easier. Now I not saying it's easy..HELL NO!!! once 7.30 comes and our shining star has been tucked into bed. I just want to flake out on my comfy chair! But there is something else I want to talk to you about. Listen to your body. When you feel your body saying I need a rest , or I need to go to bed Early tonight. Do it. Nurture and love our body. Our family needs us to be strong and healthy for us to ask for help if we need it. Never be afraid to ask for help. Look after you first to make sure you can be the best Mum and wife you can be.

MY 5 GOALS FOR 2020 AS A BLOGGER AND A MUM !!

MY 5 GOALS FOR 2020!!

Now before you say Kristi what the hell, we still have half of 2019 to go... Well hear me out. I have big plans and big dreams so I'm already planning my strategy to end 2019 with a bang! and rock 2020 like a superstar! What do you think? pretty big calls right?  I want to show my daughter that you are enough and leave her a legacy she will remember forever. Well stay with me because I'm sharing with you my 5 GOALS FOR 2020.. Are you ready?

GOAL NO 1 START A PODCAST.
Say what! In what time am I going to start a podcast? Well When you are passionate about something you refocus and reschedule and MAKE IT HAPPEN!. This is something I've wanted to do for a while now and finally I have added it into my top 5. The topics I want to incorporate in the podcast will be for women to feel empowered and find the confidence and tools they need to go and make their mark in the world achieving their own success and dreams.

GOAL NO 2 CONTINUE TO GROW MY OWN SELF EDUCATION.
Now this is something you probably already know is important to me, self education. I want to keep learning and creating to build a world wide community for women to feel their self worth, beauty and capabilities of achieving anything they are passionate about.

KEEP STRIVING TO BUILD THIS COMMUNITY THAT MY DAUGHTER WILL BE PROUD OF..
When our little shining star came into our lives, I wanted to keep a p[promise to myself. I made a pact to myself that if I was ever lucky to be a mother. I would work hard to achieve my dreams and live a life I love. So that my daughter would have the encouragement and confidence to do the same.

BOOK MY LITTLE SHINING STAR INTO KINDY, DANCING AND SWIMMING.
These are things that I've been waiting my whole life to do! I know my little star is only 2. But you have to think about these important things, there are waiting lists for kindergarten. I want my daughter to have the best education and opportunities possible.

PLANNING OUR FIRST FAMILY HOLIDAY...
We are so excited to think about our first family vacation together. We are so eager to take our little shining star to our special paradise in the Whitsundays where the water is so clear and dazzling, and the sand is white and shines like diamonds. Spending days as a family watching her play in the sand. Making perfect memories to cherish forever.

whoa!!! I have a busy 2020 planned already. Have you thought about it yet? Do you have any goals already locked in for 2020?  What are they?

5 TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR CRITICAL THINKING...

5 TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR CRITICAL THINKING.

What is critical thinking?
It is the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue to form a judgement. Wow, I'm getting really precise here I hope that is OK. I really thought this was an important topic to touch on in the community. You know how important it is for me to inspire you with what I've learnt in hope that it can help you too!  I would like to pass on to you my friends and community some tips on how critical thinking can help in expressing our ideas and can be critical for self-reflection.

FIVE KEY BENEFITS TO CRITICAL THINKING.
These are some of the benefits that will help in so many aspects of your life..
- Critical thinking can make you feel happier.
- It is a key factor to career success.
- being a critical thinker can help you make better decisions.
- It can help improve relationships.
- Help decision making in difficult times.

Every one of us think, it's in our nature. Much of our thinking is left to itself. Which can sometimes be biased or distorted. And yet it's amazing how the quality of our life, what we produce or make is entwined with our thought. This also has such an effect on the way of achieving our goals and success. CRITICAL THINKING is part of our everyday being and routines. It helps us  have clear reasoning with our self and make decisions that are best for us.

Sometimes our thinking can be put to the test in times of fear and worry. This is something I've experienced first hand when I have been afraid or nervous in the mist of my medical journeys. I had to look deep into my heart where the right thing to do lied. I used to think that if I was scared or afraid I wasn't strong. Do you feel like this ?  But believe me my friends you are strong! Everything you need to make your dream and goals a reality is right there within you. Look a little closer and you will see.

PHEW... This was an in dept conversation! But I'm so glad I shared it with you. What did you think? did you find this helpful ? Comment and let me know what you think. Until next time Friends...

I have so many wonderful people in my life that inspire me. But I'm speaking straight from the heart so this is my list of what inspires me.
