MEMORY FROM MY CHILDHOOD..

MEMORY FROM MY CHILDHOOD..... This is something I have never really written about but I would love to share as these memories are so very dear to me and I have been thinking a lot about about. Growing up I spent a lot of time with someone that was always a guiding light and great love in my life. My Nona... Is their someone special like that in your life?

This is the hardest blog I've had to write as I had no idea where to start. There are sooo many beautiful memories I have with my Nona. She was my world. Growing up I spent a lot of time at Nona's. Weekends I would pack a bag and go to stay for the weekend. School Holidays I would spend there and I loved going to church every Sunday, and Christmas Eve Mass was so beautiful, she loved listening to me sing all the Beautiful Carols. I can still see the smile on her face.

My Nona was always a very early riser. The kitchen light would be on before 5am most times. And when I was there I would do the same. We would get up and have our coffee and talk, i loved this. And winter time we would have a splash of Brandy instead o f Milk to warm us up!! These were very special times that I think about every day. Nona had a nick name for me kiki. And I would always sign Birthday, Christmas and Mother's day cards Love kiki. This always made her laugh. And I did this always. I still have all the cards she gave me which started with To My kiki!! I just These are special memories I will cherish this memory from my childhood forever.

Now this will bring a smile and a laugh to your face. It still does to me!!. My Nona and I were Soap fan of Days Of Our Lives, Young And The restless and Bold And the Beautiful. So on holidays at Nona's with my sister and my cousins, they would be out riding bikes and playing, where was I ? Upstairs watching all the soaps with Nona. I WAS A DIE HARD FAN!! AND STILL AM TO THIS DAY. Do you like the soaps?

One very special thing I will remember is my Nona's cooking!! OH MY GOSH!! The aromas that came from her kitchen were mesmerizing!!. Spaghetti, beautiful soups and of course Gnocchi and Polenta at Christmas time. She would spend hours preparing the most beautiful foods for Christmas lunch and Dinner. And of course we would absolutely stuff ourselves until we could hardly move....

So these are very precious memories to me and will always remain that way. She taught me so much about courage and inner strength. I would not have gotten through my life so far without this. Would you like to share about that someone special in your life? comment below I would love to hear from you. Thank you for letting me share mine...
